Connected. Committed. Cologne. A heartfelt naming story.

Die Eckhard Busch Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to mental health.

Here, those affected and their relatives can find help, advice and support in all situations of life. For this purpose, we are happy to provide our expertise and work pro bono — with full conviction and with all our hearts.

In numerous projects as part of our collaboration, we have already immersed ourselves in various facets of everyday (soul) life. With this, we have contributed various brand names and verbal concepts.

One might almost call it a naming multiverse: to date, we have supported the foundation across their brand multimedia.

Naming for the soul

🎙️ With ”Redseelig“ (a wordplay between "redselig" = talkative and "Seele" = soul), we have named a podcast that was created during the peak phase of the pandemic. A name with depth, both thematically and verbally. The podcast addresses topics such as social isolation in connection with mental illness and provides an exchange on a personal level, to listen in and empathize. Truly for the soul.

The soul thematics and the expression of emotions is also addressed by other projects named by us.

🧘🏻 The ”Fit für die Seele“ (= fit for the soul) event, a day dedicated to mental health and exercise, was launched in 2023. In cooperation with the German Sport University Cologne, ASV Cologne and Mental Gestärkt as well as the health insurance partne rTechniker Krankenkasse, numerous activities for body and mind were organized and experienced together in courses and meetings.

📽️ A sign that mental health is gaining importance? The fact that "Kino zeigt Seele" (= cinema bares its soul). The event series is organized together with Filmhaus Köln. Every year, films on the subject of mental illness are broadcast and then discussed with experts.

📅 For over 10 years, the Eckhard Busch Foundation has published a wall calendar every year: ”Bilder für die Seele" (= images for the soul). The calendar features motifs and works of art that address the artists' personal and emotional values and encourage compassion and understanding.  

🛟 Mental illnesses and life: not always an easy relationship. And yet, unpleasant topics must be addressed and de-stigmatized. That is why we have given the Cologne Network for Suicide Prevention a name that is as obvious as it is meaningful through the connection to the Eckhard Busch Foundation. ”Überlebenswert“ (a wordplay between "überleben" = survive and "lebenswert" = worth living for; literally "worth surviving for") provides information regarding suicide and addresses both acutely affected people and people who register suicidal ideation in their environment or even have anything to do with it professionally.

And we were also allowed to "immortalize" ourselves on postcards. As part of a creative design to raise awareness of mental illnesses and their effects on life, we were able to incorporate our love of communication. We gave those affected a voice and, with wit and a little bit of humor, pointed out the social acceptance of diseases and their consequences in everyday life, humanizing them.

Each of these projects is very important to us and we are always happy to be there for any upcoming project, guiding the communication around the human psyche and life!
