The company and its regional and specialist companies offer a wide range of services and stand for sustainable use of resources. The challenge is obvious: A name development that covers this spectrum without sounding too much like garbage collection. Because that would not even come close to expressing the service portfolio.
First, an internal ideation competition takes place. Followed by an evaluation and further development. 800 proposals are reduced to two.
Finally, extensive domain, company and trademark searches lead to one conclusion: REMONDIS is a step ahead. From a branding point of view, the name also impresses with its highly distinctive character, promising unique positioning.
REMONDIS recycles the world
The beginning of the name? A clear reference to the recycling business sector and indirectly reminiscent of the old company name Rethmann. The Romance component “mondis” is an abstraction of “mondo” or “mondial” — the world is at the fingertips of the new brand.
